Advocacy for Chinese Drywall Plaintiff’s Steering Committee
Sabiston Consultants advocated on behalf of the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee during the Chinese Dry Wall litigation between 2012 and 2015, resulting in remediation for approximately 4,000 homeowners affected by defective drywall installation.
The firm was instrumental in securing legislative initiatives to remedy the situations caused by the Chinese drywall installation in homes rebuilt after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005. Sabiston’s experience with the laws that affect state and local governments in their implementation of natural disaster relief made the team a strong partner in helping the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee meet its goals and champion the interests of affected homeowners.
Sabiston assisted in educating federal policy makers on Chinese drywall and its effects and coordinated hearings and strategy on behalf of the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee.
